The RMG wire drawing machine is ideally suited for inline use with the MBK automatic cage machine which permits the use of hot rolled rod to produce concrete pipe cages. This generates major material saving for the producer as the most least cost material available – green hot rolled rod procured directly from the mill – is used.
There is no need for additional personnel or a respooling center. The wire drawing equipment is simply placed ahead of the cage-making equipment. As the cage-making equipment requires wire, it automatically drives the wire drawing machinery.
System Benefits

- Descaling at the wire draw center allows only clean wire to enter the cage-making machine for cleaner operation and reduced cage machine maintenance.
- Hot rolled rod can be inventoried out doors.
Available Accessories
- Flipper payoff. Accommodates two 4000 lb. coils for continuous coil loading and payoff.
- Hydraulic powered turntable payoff for applications with area restrictions.
- Butt Welder. Connects ends of two coils for uninterrupted wire feed.
