The numeric control system includes settings for 255 cage styles to be stored in a microprocessor to permit automatic adjustment for different cage sizes.

Cage Removal Robot
The Hawkeye Cage Removal Robot automatically offloads completed
cages from the MBK Machine, permitting the machine operator to simultaneously
feed longitudinals to the machine. This telescopes operations for
faster output and reduces operator fatigue. The Robot is also capable
of setting the cage into the vertical position ready for use in
the pipe-making process.
